I wasn’t always a headshot photographer.

The first 20 years of my life were entirely filled with classical violin and I assumed I would stay with that for life. After high school, I studied violin in a conservatory, as was always the plan.

After a couple years, though, I tried acting (always a secret fantasy) and loved it. I completely changed my life, graduating as a theater major and moving to New York City.

For the next 11 years, I worked as an actor in New York and as a photo assistant. I started my own headshot photography business in 2012.

As someone who has gotten his own headshots taken many, many times, I know exactly what it’s like in front of the camera, and can guide you through the process from beginning to end.  I know what the industry is looking for in a professional headshot, and can help you identify how you'd like to present yourself to agents, casting directors, and other industry professionals.  During your shoot, we will work together to capture natural moments that are true to who you are as an individual.  And we'll have fun, too!

I have studios in Manhattan and in Springfield, NJ, and offer outdoor and studio shoots at both locations.
