Animal Headshots & Portraits

I love photographing animals and have lived with them almost continuously from the time I was a little kid. I photograph them with the same considerations in mind as when I shoot humans. What is the authentic energy of the subjects? How can I communicate what my experience is standing with them?

There are many animals in this section from the Catskill Animal Sanctuary in Saugerties, NY, where I’ve been visiting with my son since before he could talk. It was upon my first visit to that amazing place in 2008 that I stopped eating meat.  I think that experience has continued to inform all of my animal portraits.

I offer pet photography either at my studios or on location at either your home or an outdoor location of your choice.
